Good Morning Church,
I trust that you all have had a great week and that you are all well :)
This Advent season is upon us ; this Sunday we will be lighting the first Advent candle to celebrate Christ's glorious birth.
We are starting a new series for this Advent season called “Foretold”. In this series I will be exploring some selected passages from the book of Isaiah; studying the prophecies that he uttered about the Christ Child 750 years before they took place!
This Sunday we will look at Isaiah ch.7 where the prophet tells King Ahaz to ask for a sign that God is with him. The wicked king pretends to be too pious to make such a request; but Isaiah gives an astounding prophetic word nonetheless. Isaiah 7: 14 Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.
What happens when God Himself gives us a sign? It is sure to be Supernatural, Unique to our Situation, it Reveals a Name which brings Hope and it Points to Going God’s Way.
Join us on Sunday at 10:00 a.m. for “Give me a Sign”; or join us via livestream at https://www.firstbaptistsudbury.com.
Take heart and be blessed;
