"Noah's Saving Faith"

Live Stream Service Only this Sunday at 10:00 a.m. (16 May)

In this series entitled” Faith that Pleases God”, we have looked at how faith is defined; we spoke about how we need to have faith in our Creator and last week we talked about the faith of Sarah which dared to believe for the impossible.

This Sunday, we will look at a great man of faith Noah, who had faith for the saving of his family.

Hebrews 11:7 By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.

Noah, a righteous man who walked with God, had a “Saving Faith.” It’s vitally important for us as believers not just to believe in God or to know about Jesus, but to have a faith that knows that we have been saved from our sin and eternal punishment and that we have been forgiven/delivered to a new life that will go on forever with Him. Noah had that kind of saving faith.

It was faith that received Communication by the Spirit (he was warned of things to come); it was Faith that had Conviction (he moved “with godly fear”); it was faith that Confessed God to others (by preparing an ark for all to see); it was Faith that Contended ( he condemned the world through his godly actions); and it was Faith that was Commended by God ( he was declared an heir of righteousness.)
