We are so excited to be reopening this Sunday – Resurrection Sunday! This Sunday I am concluding my Easter series with a message entitled: Death Couldn’t Hold Him Down!
There was a demonic agenda to stop the plan of God to raise His Son back to life. The devil didn't want Jesus to take His life back again, he wanted Him to stay in the grave, to stay dead. To allow Jesus to overcome death is to destroy the devil's biggest asset; His biggest tool in his toolbox which is “death”. It would mean that death would be defeated if Jesus was resurrected, the grave would become redundant and for believers who will one day be resurrected to be with Christ, hell would be a non-factor.
So, Satan mobilized his best assets, but soon found that the Pharisees couldn’t stonewall Him, Pilate couldn’t secure Him, the stone couldn’t seal Him, the guards couldn’t shut Him down, the grave couldn’t slow Him and death couldn’t stop Him.
Jesus arose …defeating death, hell and the grave.
