“He Makes All Things New”

“He Makes All Things New” (Church via live-stream only 10 & 17 January 2021)

In this New Year’s series “What Happens Next?”, I will examine a number of end time signs that are mentioned in Scripture leading up to the return of Christ. The first sign that we examined last week was the sign of “lawlessness” that we see in our world today. This week, I want to begin an in-depth study of Matthew 24 in which Jesus details many of the “signs” that will take place.

But before jumping into Matt 24, I want to set up its context by looking at Christ’s discourse to the Pharisees in Matt 23 and examining some of His prophetic words to them. Here are some of them.

Matthew 23: 37 “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones God’s messengers! How often I have wanted to gather your children together as a hen protects her chicks beneath her wings, but you wouldn’t let me. 38 And now, look, your house is abandoned and desolate. 39 For I tell you this, you will never see me again until you say, ‘Blessings on the one who comes in the name of the Lord!”

Our Lord, who came the first time as a Lamb offered up for the forgiveness of our sins, had a great desire to see His own people brought into the Kingdom, but unfortunately, they would not. Jesus will come again, this time as a Lion and He will hold each one accountable for the gift that He has freely offered. He is coming to judge the world…. He will set things right; He will make all things new. He says: "Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. (Rev 22: 12)

Join us on Sunday via live-stream only at 10:00 a.m. for the second part of this series; the message is entitled: “He Makes All Things New”

Take heart and be blessed!
