“The Love of the Father”

Good Afternoon Everyone,

I trust that you are well on this fine day! This Sunday is a special one..Father's Day...with a special music emphasis at the Garson church. There won't be a Sunday School for the kids this week as the service will have a lot of "Kid content" and special music they will want to be part of. Also, there is a fellowship time right after the service with some food and fun.

In Capreol , this Sunday, there is an unprecedented opportunity to do some outreach, as 200 plus antique cars are parked on our street...we will be set up outside to mingle, give away promotional stuff and water (donated through Restoration church). We will also have the livestream playing inside the Capreol church for those who may want to drop in for  a look-see. It's going to be a great Sunday!

Here are some additional details below...

Blessings

This Sunday is a special one; it’s Father’s Day! We are laying aside our series on the “Armour of God” for one week, in favour of a special Father’s Day service. There will be an extra helping of worship this Sunday that focuses on the faithfulness of our heavenly Father; and also, we will be featuring some of our own talent: a solo, a trio and a men’s quartet from our own church family! I’m looking forward to it. We will look, for a short time at the story of the prodigal son, and look specifically at the father; who is the expression of our heavenly Father. When his wayward son returned, he not only received him with love, but put a robe on him (as confirmation that he was still part of the family); he put a ring on his finger (a sign of his undying love for him), and put sandals on his feet (indicating the intimacy that he would now enjoy.) And after the service this Sunday, we will have a fellowship time where we can enjoy one other’s company with food and refreshments.

Join us in person on Sunday at 10:00 a.m. or via livestream by going to https://www.firstbaptistsudbury.com and clicking on livestream for “The Love of the Father.”

Blessings,

Kevin
