“The War to End All Wars”

Hello Church Family, I hope you are enjoying this beautiful sunny day...I think Wiarton Willie is predicting an early spring,so all-in-all it's a great day! I trust you are all well; I am continuing to pray for you and look forward to meeting with you all very soon. “The War to End All Wars” (Live Stream Service Only this Sunday) In this series entitled “What Happens Next?”, I have examined a number of end time signs that are mentioned in Scripture leading up to the return of Christ. We have spoken about “lawlessness”, “deception”; last week we spoke of “false christs.”

This week, I am continuing the study of Matthew 24 by looking at verse 6… “And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. “

Wars have existed in our world since Biblical days…Abraham was one of the first to engage in it, when nephew Lot was taken captive by the King of Shinar. Millions of lives have been lost in the world-wide conflicts of the 2 world wars and other significant conflicts like Korea and VietNam.

The U.S. president Woodrow Wilson famously stated after W.W.1 that he anticipated that peace would follow it; W.W. 1 was the “War to End All Wars.” The president was obviously shocked when another world-wide war started just 20 years later with the invasion of Poland by Germany.

Jesus says wars will continue till the end of time; that’s a guarantee. But just before the return of Christ another war will take place in the heavenlies where our foe, Satan, will be banished from the heavenly courts and Christ’s great Kingdom will come into power…for ever and ever.

Revelation 12: 7 And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought… 10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.

This “war to end all others” will be a Cosmic Battle, resulting in a Banished Foe, that will introduce a Prevailing Kingdom and salute an Overcoming Army! Join us on Sunday at 10:00 a.m. at https://www.firstbaptistsudbury.com and click on livestream; for the sixth part of this series entitled: “The War to End All Wars”

Take heart and be blessed!

Pastor Kevin
